While some show cased their dancing talent, some their humorous side, some their rapping skills, singing skills while some other their acting talent .
Over all we thought it was quite an entertaining webisode, watch the video and let us know who according to you was the most talented. Also at the end of the episode you can catch up on the final scores as to who is leading in this race of beauty and the blogger. The final winner based on the show points and total video views will be announced shortly.
As you all know, I keep trying out different nail arts and love experimenting with my nails. Because of this it had become very essential for me to follow a nail care regimen to keep my nails from breaking, chipping and getting discoloured. So today I’ll be sharing with you some self care measures that I use to keep my nails healthy.
Protect your Nails - Our nails are very delicate and prone to injuries. So make sure you do not use them to perform tasks that will damage them. For instance, while cleaning utensils wear rubber gloves as the chemicals in the soap can cause great damage to your nails as well as hands. For toenails, make sure you wear shoes that have space for your toes to breathe and if you wear closed shoes most of the times then keep your nails short to avoid any friction and breakage.
Keep your Nails Hydrated - It is very essential to keep your nails without any nail polish from time to time as it allows your nails to breathe. Keeping polish on constantly can remove the natural moisture off your nails and make them look dull and discoloured. I usually apply a polish and remove it in a week and then keep my nails bare for a few days before applying any other polish. If you do apply nail polish regularly make sure you apply one which is acetone free so that it doesn’t make your nails dry. You can also try applying moisturizing creams or petroleum jelly to make your nails look nice and shiny. And most importantly, drink plenty of water to keep your nails well hydrated.
Nutrition for Nails - Even your nails need nutrients to grow well. Try including food items that contain protein, zinc, vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin C, vitamin D, and vitamin E and calcium in your daily diet to help nail growth. I try including apples, cucumbers, eggs, garlic, grapes, nuts, onions, soy, salmon, and whole grains in my day.
Keep your Nails Clean - Make sure you keep your nails dry and clean at all times as wet nails tend to break easily. All you girls who love long nails should make sure you clean your nails well as dirt accumulated in the nails can increase the risk of infections. Wear clean socks to protect your toenails from any infections. Trim your nails regularly to avoid overgrown nails that tend to chip or break.
Following are the simple steps I take for my nail care :
After taking a bath, I ensure to dry my nails completely, specially the inner corners.
I apply a nourishing cuticle cream twice a week and clean it after 20 minutes.
Buff my nails once a week to improve the blood circulation.
Soak my nails in a solution of diluted vinegar once a week. Vinegar helps in making your cuticles soft.
Give myself a manicure and pedicure at home to thoroughly clean the nails once every 10 days.
Remember:
Don’t keep your nails covered with nail polish all the time. And if you do apply nail polish regularly invest in some good quality brands to ensure they don’t damage your nails.
And trust me; healthy nails look great, if well-groomed.
I hope these tips will help you all. Do let me know if you have any other tips for keeping your nails healthy in the comments section below; I’d love to know them.

I've always said that using a good sunscreen in this
scorching heat is a must! Recently I got the Lakme 9 to 5 Super
Sunscreen to review and as you know in
my Skin Care Routine I mentioned that I was looking for a good sunscreen so I thought of trying it out. If haven't already seen it, check it out here..
I’ve used a few Lakme 9 to 5 products and they have been good so far and thus I didn't have
any apprehensions trying the Sunscreen.
The Lakme 9 to 5 Super Sunscreen comes in two variants – Hydrating
Sunscreen for normal/dry skin and Mattifying Sunscreen for oily skin. It
contains SPF 50 which gives your skin optimum protection against harmful UVA
and UVB rays.
Starting with the Hydrating Sunscreen, even though I have
oily skin it worked rather well. It has a liquid like consistency, and is white
in colour. It glides on very easily and does not leave white patches; this is
something I love about the product as all the other sunscreens I’ve tried make
my skin look patchy. Since its SPF 50 it gives good protection against the sun
and doesn't feel greasy at all. I applied it in the morning but by late
afternoon I had to re-apply it as I was still going to be out in the sun. The
good part about this sunscreen is that it is very lightweight and I can easily
wear it under my makeup without it looking cakey.
The Mattifying Sunscreen is a little thicker in consistency
and non-sticky. The face looks a little white as soon as you apply it but in a
few minutes it settles down. Otherwise it works just like the Hydrating
Sunscreen. If you have really oily
skin, this is the product I’d highly recommend. It stays true to its name and
keeps your face matte for at least a couple of hours.
The packing is quite simple they both come in a pinkish
bottle with a golden cap and a pump dispenser. They are easy to carry around
and do not leak.
A major problem with this product is its pricing; a 30ml
bottle costs you Rs. 500 which is quite expensive in comparison to other
brands. And since you need to re-apply it every few hours, it will get over
much sooner.
In all it is a good product if you are the kind of person
who prefers quality over quantity and now that I've used it for a while I find
it much better than my earlier sunscreen in terms of protection from tanning
and sunburn. It also gives your skin a nice even tone, which is perfect for the
days you want to go out without any makeup.
So this is it from my side, do let me know if you have tried
the product and what do you think of it in the comments section below. Also

Every change of season throws up a new challenge for the hair. The
warm and humid monsoon months make hair maintenance a challenge - acid rain, dirty rainwater and increased levels of humidity
trip away the outermost layer of the hair strand cuticle making it brittle,

Ayesha Mistry, Educator, TIGI India says, “The biggest issue for your hair in the monsoon is humidity!!...figure out how to control that and you are off to a good start. If you are big on the blow dries, the monsoon is a really good time for quick and easy hair do's like scrunching or wearing it in messy buns, braids or ponytails. P.S. Here's my review of Bead Head TIGI's Elasticate Shampoo and Conditioner, watch to know my thoughts on the product.
Hello my lovely ladies, I’d like to start
off by apologizing about the long absence on the blog. Really sorry, been caught
up with too many things but I promise to keep it updated from now on.
In my Skin Care Routine video I’d mentioned that I use Ubtan, a home
remedy for exfoliation and a lot of you requested me to share the recipe, so
here it is....
Ubtan is a mixture of natural ingredients
that removes the excess dirt and gives you a flawless skin. I've been using it
for a while and so it comes highly recommended. I like to apply it once a month
on my face and neck but if you have time you can also apply it on your entire
body. The quantity of my recipe is just enough for the face and neck so if you
want to apply it on your body you will have to increase the measurements of the
ingredients accordingly.
Ingredients:
So firstly take 1 ½ - 2 tablespoons
of Besan (gram/chickpea flour),
Add
a pinch of Haldi
(turmeric) in it (make sure you do not use too much Haldi as it will
make your skin yellow),
Add 2 teaspoons of fresh Malai
(cream) and not the tetra pack that you get at stores,
Add a little bit of Milk to
blend the ingredients and make a thick paste,
Lastly add 2 – 3 drops of Lime
Benefits:
Now before applying I’m sure you guys would
want to know more about the beneficial properties of each of these ingredients
so here goes:
Besan helps in exfoliation and lightening
the skin, Haldi again helps in lightening the skin, Malai is an excellent
source of adding natural moisture to the skin , Milk makes the skin soft and
smooth, and Lemon as we all know is a great cleanser, it lightens the skin and
also helps in reducing the strong smell of the other ingredients. I once made the ubtan without Lemon and trust
me the smell was just intolerable.
Method:
Once you've made a thick paste, wash your
face and neck area nicely and pat it dry before applying it. Once applied, leave
it till it dries completely which should take around 10-15 minutes. Do not
apply this on your eyebrows as lemon is considered to fade the color of your
hair and you surely don’t want grey eyebrows :p
Once it has dried, with the help of your
fingers, rub the mixture in circular motion to remove it off and then wash your
face with luke warm water.
To finish off, rub a cube of ice on your
entire face once as it helps to close the pores. Pat it dry and you should be
able to see a difference in your skin immediately.
If you have oily skin, you might feel the
need to use a facewash as Malai tends to make your skin more oily but if you
aren't heading out that day, avoid using a facewash or atleast avoid for a
couple of hours.
So girls that was my Ubtan recipe, I hope
you find it helpful, do let me know in
the comments section how it turns out and do share with me any other methods or
products that you girls follow for exfoliation, I’d love to know. Before signing off just a request, please

So I had a
fab Sunday thanks to the amazing Dove event hosted by Indiblogger.in. It was
held at J W Marriot and I had such a ball that I had to share it with you guys.
Great ambiance, pretty lamps completed the decor
Keeping in
line with Dove’s colors, the dress code was white, I wore a white top with blue
denims (classic and my favourite combo)
OFTD : White top with blue denims
Upon
arriving, we were given different coloured wrist bands based on which we were
divided into 12 groups of 10 each. Then we chose some playful names for our groups like the big bang, the bun games, fringe benefits etc. My group was called messy buns ;) We spent sometime to know our team mates better and then began the games!
Group photos, can you spot me?
The first activity was a Zumba session where Zumba trainers taught us some moves. This really got the crowd pumped and being the first Zumba session for most of us including me, it was a great experience. The energy in the room was infectious and set the ball rolling for a fun filled evening.
Up next was a a HUGE pool with colourful balls in it and it also had some grey
coloured balls with Dove written on them. Groups of five could play the game at a time, 3 inside the pool collecting the grey Dove balls and 2 standing outside with buckets to catch those balls. There was great team spirit and everyone was cheering for one another. Our team collected 182 balls!
Next on the fun list was a larger than life jigsaw puzzle which had to be completed in the least amount of time possible. Our team completed it in less than 3 minutes.
Puzzle solving :)
The next game was called 'Hips Don’t Lie' where we had to hula hoop for the longest time to win. This game was really fun as none of us knew how to do it but we all tried and had a good laugh over it.
After that it was time for some hair play. We were given 4 minutes each to style each other's hair. There were also some pretty accessories to help us jazz up the look.
My pretty bubble ponytail courtesy my teammate Mayuri :)
After that it was time for some pampering at the Dove Salon, a massive room with mirrors all around. I got my hair styled by Yasmine into pretty waves. I think she
did a great job. For me, this was the highlight of my day, it completely
transformed my look.
Yasmine working her magic on my hair at the Dove salon
Then we moved to the pool side for the bartender game where a bartender gave us tips on how to mix drinks, then 2 people from each team were called, one to mix the drink and the other to taste it. We were judged on who made the finest drink. Our team came in third :)
Quick selfie with Shonima and Shanaya before the bartending game
And finally it was time for dinner, a huge spread of amazing food followed by some awesome desserts. I couldn't get enough of the mud pies.
Lastly was
the Award Ceremony where the team with highest points won a gift voucher worth Rs.
5000 that can be claimed at any Lakme Salon.
But before the day finally ended, there was one last game where the participant had go inside a crystal maze and collect Dove birdies. I very enthusiastically volunteered to play the game and had a blast. It reminded me of this game show called Crystal Maze, it used to come back in the day in early 90's. Have any of you seen it? Since my opponent and I had collected almost the number of Doves we both won a voucher, yay!!
Me inside the crystal maze collecting Dove birdies
Finally the games ended and the dance floor was thrown open, we danced for almost 2 hours!!
Overall it
was a really fun event, I made a lot of crazy friends (see the pictures below for proof) and it was very well organized by Dove and Indiblogger.in. Honestly
I didn't expect it to be so much fun but it turned out to be 'legen wait for it dary!'
Madness with Nivedita and Mayuri

And some more posing for pictures :)
So here’s a
shout out to Team Dove and Indiblogger.in. Thanks for having me there, I completely loved the idea and had it was definitely a Sunday well spent.
P.S. Thank you for the hamper and I loved the Dove pin, will be wearing it for sure :)
