Hello girls,
Isn’t this heat making you crazy? I just don’t feel like getting out of my house anymore. Even applying makeup feels like a task as you need to make sure you touch it up every few hours as it tends to melt in this season.
Today I’m going to share with you some simple tips which I follow that can come handy during summer.
1. FOUNDATION
Apply foundation only where you need it and if you can, skip it altogether! Especially in the summer, do not over-apply. If you must wear foundation then switch to a light, oil-free foundation or mineral foundation.
2. PRIMER
If you are someone who likes to apply full makeup, then a primer is your best friend as this product is designed to prep your face for makeup. It helps keep your color vibrant and prevent the make up from sliding or creasing. I feel a primer must be applied every time you put on any kind of make up so that you do not have to worry about the touch ups.
3. WATER SPRAY
A water spray has been an age old method of keeping your makeup fresh in the heat. So if your makeup tends to fade very quickly in the hot weather, carry one of these little sprays in your bag, trust me, it’ll make you feel fresh and presentable at any hour of the day.
4. BLOTTING PAPERS
Blotting paper is a really handy tool in hot weather. Using pressed powder every time your skin shines can be quite a hassle. Whereas using a blotting paper makes more sense as it will just soak up the oil and make you look fresh without looking too powdered.
5. WATERPROOF MASCARA
Waterproof mascara is a total must have in hot weather. This is helpful as when you wash your face or use water spray you don't want mascara streaking your face. To avoid such a situation the waterproof mascara works best.
6. LIP GLOSS
Switch your favourite lipsticks with lip gloss in summer. These are much lighter, softer and can be easily reapplied if necessary and they also look better in the heat and sun, when lipsticks can just seem too ´heavy´. You can also try some tinted gloss to add some nice colour to your lips.
7. MINIMISE
The easiest way to avoid problems with makeup in this season is to minimize what you use. That’s what I go for. The lesser you apply the lesser is the chance of it getting smudged or spoilt.
So girls, make your summer routine a simple one, probably just a tinted moisturizer or face shimmer to give your skin a nice and fresh glow.
Just remember to keep it light and simple. I hope these tips have helped you. Do let me know if you have any other ways of looking fresh in this terrible heat in the comments section below. I'd love to know :)Till then, happy summer from FOMO Fashion On My Own
