New Whisper Ultra Review

Hello ladies,

We recently got a preview of the New Whisper Ultra at an exclusive bloggers only meet at The St. Regis Mumbai on 19th December, 2015, you'll can read all about the event HERE.

So at the end of the launch, we were also given a pack of the New Whisper Ultra to sample and this blog post is about our experience with the product, so keep reading to know our thoughts.

Our experience with New Whisper Ultra : 

As you'll must have already read in our previous blog post we had attended Whisper's bloggers meet wherein we were introduced to the New Whisper Ultra and it was not merely a launch. The experts from Whisper engaged in a never seen before product demonstration which clearly supported their claim that the New Whisper Ultra offers five times more protection than any ordinary pad. And after being privy to that solid demonstration we were more than eager to try out the New Whisper Ultra.

From the very beginning I've been using Whisper Ultra but I really wanted to see how this New Whisper Ultra is better in comparison considering all the R & D done on this front by Whisper so we ladies truly have a happy period.   

So the New Whisper Ultra indeed provides better and longer absorption. I usually experience heavy flow on the first two days and I'm worried and have to keep a check lest I stain. But this worked for me the entire day without having the constant need to check and change. I did not feel any wetness and irritation. The New Whisper Ultra also has a nice pleasant fragrance, keeping period smell under check.

Also as I mentioned earlier I experience heavy flow on the two days so I used to wear two pads just to be doubly sure and avoid staining and this used to cause some discomfort. But with the New Whisper Ultra being extra long, this issue has been taken care of and the fear of staining has been put to rest. And the pad is extremely thin and lightweight so one doesn't feel like they are even wearing a pad. 

One thing that I'd experience previously is the occasional rashes but that wasn't the case with the New Whisper Ultra. I remember having this discussion with Whisper's R & D expert Chetan Kotyalkar at the blogger's meet...hence the addition of the softer top sheet. 

So this New Whisper Ultra definitely gets a BIG THUMBS UP from our side.

Whisper Out Loud #OwnThose5Days Blogger Hangout!

Hello my lovely ladies,

How are you'll doing? If you'll follow FOMO on social media platforms, you'll would be aware that earlier in December we had attended an exclusive bloggers only preview of the New Whisper Ultra. It was an interesting and informative morning. Read on to know all about it.

But of course before we begin, comes the customary selfie

The event took place on December 19 at The St. Regis Mumbai. The dress code for the day was green and white. Upon entering, we were each given a numbered wrist band, for the activities to take place later. And then we had some time to enjoy a cuppa and some cookies with fellow bloggers.

Soon the doors to the hall opened and we got a chance to explore the set up and mingle with other bloggers till everyone settled in.

The set up was in green and white as well with a life-sized New Whisper Ultra sanitary napkin on one side and some other props at one end of the hall which we'll get to later, getting us excited to about how it all pans out.

And of course with time on are hands, we got a chance to click a couple of selfies...so no complaints :D

Finally the event kick-started with stand-up comedian, writer, and must I add hilariously funny Aditi Mittal who brought the house down and set the mood for the day discussing Indian taboos and her period-related incidents, served a la Aditi style with tons of humour :)

Aditi was soon joined on stage by the actress who is always known to speak her mind...the versatile, Kalki Koechlin. Kalki spoke about the reason behind her involvement in the campaign purely being because she's a woman.

The two ladies then went on to discuss the various prevalent irrelevant period taboos like not exercising, not wearing white, not washing hair for the first two days and staying at home etc. during periods. They also shared with us Whisper's previous successful campaign,'Touch The Pickle'.

Next they were joined on stage by gynaecologist, Dr. Nandita Palshetkar who shared with us the importance of menstrual hygiene and some tips which we've mentioned below to help #OwnThose5Days!

- Dark chocolate is actually good during pre-menstrual syndrome.

- Reduce salt intake during menstruation to avoid feeling bloated and puffy.

- Exercising, even a rigorous form is doable as long as you have a good sanitary napkin.

- Reduce caffeine intake as it can worsen menstrual cramps. Opt for decaf or switch to tea. One must also avoid aerated drinks.

Next to join the panel was Whisper R& D Expert, Chetan Kotyalkar who shared with us the unique product features of the New Whisper Ultra. He explained in detail the working of the product - 

- Top sheet which is like a funnel helps in absorption, 

- Secondary top sheet helps in distribution, 

- AGM or absorbing gel material which converts liquid into gel,

- Back sheet, to avoid touching and causing irritation to the skin,

- Wings to prevent leakage and help placement

So to sum it up, the New Whisper Ultra has the following features with 1000 suction holes for :

- More absorption for long hours

- Better dryness for clean feeling 

- Faster absorption for sudden heavy flows

- Better comfort with soft top sheet

- Better odour lock.

Finally after all this impressive prelude, it was time to launch the product...New Whisper Ultra!

The Whisper panel of experts led by Whisper R & D Expert, Chetan then went onto demonstrate and put to rest any doubts in our minds about the claims of New Whisper Ultra providing five times more protection than any ordinary pad.

On the extreme left of the table was New Whisper Ultra followed by regular ordinary pads. Chetan dropped some fluid on all the pads and as you will see in the images that follow, New Whisper Ultra did not leak at all whereas all the other pads leaked. He even went on to add more fluid to the New Whisper Ultra as compared to the other pads and inspite of that it did not leak, standing true to it's claim of providing fives times more protection as compared to any ordinary pad.

After this very satisfying demonstration, we moved onto pledge to #OwnThose5Days and truly being unstoppable. The activity started with Aditi and Kalki, followed by all of us which we posted on the life-sized sanitary pad cut out.

The Whisper Out Loud Blogger Hangout concluded with a #OwnThose5Days challenge (the props we had written about earlier) comprising of some physical activities which we encounter on an everyday basis. This fun activity was again kick-started by Kalki and Aditi, followed by the group of bloggers.
